Maryland AG Hits GSK With Avandia False Claims Suit

Law360, New York (February 20, 2013, 8:21 PM EST) -- The state of Maryland hit GlaxoSmithKline PLC with a false claims lawsuit on Wednesday over its marketing of diabetes treatment Avandia, potentially seeking more than $38 million over the state’s reimbursement of the drug and the treatment of its side effects.
