Federal Circuit Overturns Injunction Against Medtronic

Law360 (October 4, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has overturned a lower-court injunction prohibiting the sale of medical technology company Medtronic Sofamor Danek’s multiaxial screw products.

The ruling, the most recent in the court battle between Medtronic and joint replacement manufacturer Biomet, Inc.’s subsidiary Cross Medical Products, sends the case back to district court for a jury trial.
