Apple, Motorola To Spar Over Touch Screen IP At Fed. Circ.

Law360, New York (March 5, 2013, 4:59 PM EST) -- The Federal Circuit will hear arguments Thursday in Apple Inc.'s appeal of a U.S. International Trade Commission ruling that Motorola Mobility Inc. is not liable for infringing two touch screen patents that Apple claims are integral to the success of the iPhone.

The ITC held in March 2012 that Motorola, a Google Inc. unit, did not infringe one of the patents and that the other was infringed but invalid as anticipated and obvious. In its appeal brief, Apple said those rulings were wrong because its "multitouch"...
