DePuy Designer Blames Some Surgeons For Hip Failures

Law360, Los Angeles (February 22, 2013, 4:35 PM EST) -- A designer of DePuy Inc.'s ASR XL metal hip replacement testifying at the first such product liability trial against the Johnson & Johnson subsidiary told a Los Angeles jury Friday that the implant's elevated failure rates were due to surgeons' negligence rather than faulty design.
