Informatica Denied $5M In Attorneys' Fees

Law360, New York (December 6, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge ruled Thursday that Informatica Corp. was not entitled to $5 million in attorneys' fees to go along with a $12.1 million judgment against Business Objects Data Integration Inc.

In her order, Judge Elizabeth D. LaPorte of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said the patent dispute between the two companies did not qualify as “exceptional,” and she therefore denied Informatica's second motion for attorneys' fees.
