Nevada Legalizes Online Poker Playing Across State Lines

Law360, Los Angeles (February 22, 2013, 8:28 PM EST) -- The Nevada Legislature on Thursday pushed through a bill legalizing online interstate poker, authorizing Gov. Brian Sandoval to enter into agreements with other states to allow people to play online poker across state lines.

Assembly Bill 114, sponsored by 12 assembly members and eight senators, asserts that the implementation of a law regulating interstate online poker will protect consumers and cut down on illegal online gaming. After it passed the Legislature, it was immediately signed into law by Sandoval, the Los Angeles Times reported.
