Apple Can't Dodge $368M FaceTime Infringement Verdict

Law360, New York (February 27, 2013, 2:13 PM EST) -- A Texas federal judge on Tuesday upheld a $368 million patent infringement verdict against Apple Inc. over its popular FaceTime application, but refused to issue an injunction that would have barred Apple's product from the market.

U.S. District Judge Leonard Davis rejected Apple's various post-trial motions to either vacate or reduce the jurors' November verdict, which said the computing giant infringed four patents held by VirnetX Holding Corp. by including FaceTime on its iPhone, iPad and iPod.
