Calif. Bill Would Force Funding Transparency In Political Ads

Law360, San Diego (February 28, 2013, 6:39 PM EST) -- California senators said Wednesday that they had finalized language for a bill requiring political ads to disclose the top four funders of a ballot measure or independent expenditure committee, in the wake of a nonprofit’s $11 million contribution last year to a group opposing Gov. Jerry Brown’s successful tax hike initiative.
