Calif. City Agrees To Settle CWA Sewage Discharge Suit

Law360, Chicago (March 1, 2013, 3:17 PM EST) -- American Canyon, Calif., has agreed to settle an environmental group's Clean Water Act suit that accused the city of illegally discharging pollutants from its wastewater treatment facility and underreporting the total volume of its spills, according to a Thursday court filing.

U.S. District Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley entered an order dismissing the case with prejudice, saying the court had been advised that Northern California River Watch and the municipality had agreed to a settlement. The one-page order provided no further information of the deal.
