Auditor Backs Most Sidley Charges, Opposes Some

Law360 (December 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The fee auditor in the Federal-Mogul Corp. bankruptcy case has recommended that Sidley Austin LLP receive more than $8.3 million for its work as debtor’s counsel between May and July. However, the auditor also recommended a reduction of nearly $100,000 from the firm's fee application.

In court documents filed Monday, fee auditor Warren H. Smith & Associates PC took issue with nearly $55,000 in fees and over $40,000 in expenses that were part of Sidley Austin's twenty-third quarterly interim fee application. Most of the recommended fee...
