Fed. Circ. Vacates Real Estate IP Win In Light Of Akamai

Law360, New York (March 4, 2013, 3:24 PM EST) -- The Federal Circuit on Monday vacated a decision that real estate website operator Move Inc. did not infringe a Real Estate Alliance Ltd. patent, finding that the ruling must be reviewed in light of a recent Federal Circuit ruling on induced infringement.

In its August en banc decision in Akamai v. Limelight, the Federal Circuit held for the first time that a party can be held liable for induced infringement even if no single entity can be found liable for direct infringement.
