Firefighter Raises Won’t Break Philadelphia, Judge Says

Law360, Philadelphia (March 4, 2013, 4:27 PM EST) -- A Philadelphia County judge urged the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court Friday to uphold her November decision affirming an arbitration award giving a 3 percent raise to the city’s unionized firefighters, saying attorneys for the city had not proven the additional salary expenses would cause undue financial hardship.
