Cablevision's Viacom Bundling Suit May Be Long Shot

Law360, New York (March 4, 2013, 9:06 PM EST) -- Cablevision Systems Corp. is better positioned to challenge channel bundling than the consumers who have brought antitrust suits over the conduct in the past, but its case alleging Viacom's programming distribution tactics violate antitrust law still faces a tough road, experts said Monday.

The company is hardly the first to take content providers to task for forcing cable providers to carry networks customers don't want in order to be able to offer popular channels such as MTV and Comedy Central.
