2nd Circ. Says NY County Can't Recover Plane Crash Costs

Law360, New York (March 4, 2013, 3:41 PM EST) -- The Second Circuit on Monday upheld a ruling barring Erie County, N.Y., from seeking to force various airlines to reimburse its response costs to a 2009 crash that claimed 50 lives, saying New York law bars recovery of free public services.
