San Diego Gas Gets New Asbestos Trial

Law360 (December 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- San Diego Gas & Electric Co. and two employees whom a jury convicted of violating the national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants related to the removal of nine miles of asbestos-laced gas pipeline have been granted a new trial.

Judge Dana M. Sabraw of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California on Friday granted the defendants' motions for a retrial on all successful counts. A status conference has been scheduled for Dec. 21.
