MIT Loses Ownership Bid In IP Row Over Anti-Cancer Device

Law360, Los Angeles (March 4, 2013, 10:43 PM EST) -- Mevion Medical Systems Inc. is the sole owner of an innovative cancer therapy device, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is not entitled to co-owner status, a Massachusetts federal judge ruled Monday in the university’s patent infringement lawsuit against the radiation therapy technology company.
