Amazon.com Added To Play List Patent Dispute

Law360 (December 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A Chicago-based patent-holding company has added Amazon.com Inc. to its hit list of more than two dozen technology giants that have allegedly profited enormously and illegally from its digital music-management inventions.

Premier International Associates LLC filed two separate amended complaints on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, accusing technology giants such as Microsoft Corp., Yahoo! Inc. and Motorola Inc. of infringing two patents that allow users to create and maintain digital play lists.
