Ex-NY Hospital CEO In Talks With Gov't To End Kickback Case

Law360, New York (March 6, 2013, 9:48 PM EST) -- The ex-CEO of New York's Hospital for Special Surgery, one of the top orthopedic hospitals in the U.S., is discussing with prosecutors a plea deal to resolve charges that he took kickbacks from vendors, his attorney said Tuesday.

Prosecutors claim John R. Reynolds, who headed the 150-year-old hospital from 1997 to 2006, took about $1.4 million in improper payments from vendors and consultants. The institution is the largest and oldest orthopedic hospital in the U.S.
