Gemstar Ex-CEO To Plead Guilty To Obstructing SEC Probe

Law360, New York (October 7, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Former Gemstar-TV Guide CEO Henry C. Yuen will plead guilty to obstructing a Securities and Exchange Commission investigation into accounting regularities, according to a federal prosecutor.

Yuen is expected to plead guilty to a felony charge of obstruction of justice at his court appearance on Oct. 3, according to a release by the U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California.

Under the terms of the plea agreement, Yuen is expected to be sentenced to two years probation, including six months of home detention.
