NJ Sets Up Group To Probe Post-Sandy Fraud

Law360, New York (March 8, 2013, 6:41 PM EST) -- New Jersey’s attorney general on Thursday announced the creation of a clearinghouse that will be responsible for coordinating the investigation and prosecution of those who commit fraud by capitalizing on the state’s recovery from Superstorm Sandy.

Attorney General Jeffrey S. Chiesa said his office had created the Statewide Sandy Fraud Working Group, which will consist of members of the state’s divisions of criminal justice and consumer affairs, the state police, and the prosecutor’s offices of Atlantic, Middlesex, Monmouth and Ocean counties.
