Obama To Tap DOJ Civil Rights Chief As Labor Secretary

Law360, New York (March 11, 2013, 7:15 PM EDT) -- President Barack Obama will reportedly nominate the current head of the U.S. Department of Justice's civil rights unit to lead the U.S. Department of Labor.

The president is expected to propose long-time public servant Thomas E. Perez as the country's next labor secretary, according to a news report Saturday by The Washington Post, which cited two unnamed administration sources.
