Sherwin-Williams To Sell India Biz To Berger Paints

Law360, New York (March 11, 2013, 11:52 AM EDT) -- As Sherwin-Williams Co. moves to redouble its focus on operations in the U.S. and Latin America, it will unload its Indian architectural paints offshoot in a sale to Berger Paints India Ltd., the buyer said in a Monday securities filing.

The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the deal, which comes after Sherwin-Williams last fall poured $2.3 billion into its purchase of Mexican paint and coatings business Consorcio Comex SA de CV to strengthen its foothold in the western U.S. and central America....
