Keith Haring Foundation Claims Fake Art In Miami Exhibit

Law360, Miami (March 11, 2013, 9:07 PM EDT) -- The Keith Haring Foundation Inc., a nonprofit organization that owns the intellectual property rights to the renowned pop artist's works, filed suit Friday in federal court to block most of a Miami exhibit, saying the vast majority of the displayed pieces were fakes or infringed Haring trademarks.

The show, titled “Haring Miami: A Celebration of the Life & Art of Keith Haring,” completed its scheduled run March 7 to 10, but with only 10 pieces on display Friday, Saturday and Sunday after  the foundation filed suit...
