Calif. Air Board Eyes 25 Projects Under Cap-And-Trade Plan

Law360, San Diego (March 11, 2013, 6:29 PM EDT) -- The California Air Resources Board said Friday it is reviewing whether 25 projects to drive down greenhouse gas emissions should receive the first set of carbon offset credits as part of the state’s cap-and-trade program.

The lineup of projects include systems to destroy methane or biogas produced from manure, proposals to eliminate ozone-depleting refrigerant emissions, and a plan to improve forest management practices and avoid emissions related to increased timber harvesting, according to the agency.
