Iran Considers Suing Over 'Argo'

Law360, New York (March 12, 2013, 2:50 PM EDT) -- The Iranian government is reportedly preparing to sue producers of the Oscar-winning movie "Argo" because the film allegedly provides an unrealistic portrayal of the country.

Iranian news outlets reported Tuesday that French lawyer Isabelle Coutant-Peyre is talking with officials on how and where to file a lawsuit, according to an Associated Press report. "Argo," which won best picture honors at last month's Oscars ceremony, depicts the escape of six American from Tehran during the 1979 hostage crisis.
