Senate Confirms Taranto As Newest Fed. Circ. Judge

Law360, New York (March 12, 2013, 8:19 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate on Monday unanimously confirmed patent attorney Richard Taranto of Farr & Taranto as the newest judge on the Federal Circuit, more than a year after he was nominated by President Barack Obama.

The 91-0 vote means that Taranto will fill a vacancy on the court that opened when former Chief Judge Paul Michel retired in May 2010. After he joins the court, it will still have two vacancies remaining.
