Waiora Pays $12M To Settle Suit Over Anti-Aging Supplement

Law360, New York (March 12, 2013, 5:11 PM EDT) -- Supplement maker Waiora LLC will pay nearly $12 million to resolve a Florida class action brought by consumer who says it sold a mineral-enhanced anti-aging product that contained little more than water, according to a deal granted preliminary approval Friday.

Each of the nearly 80,000 estimated class members will be entitled to a free three-pack of Natural Cellular Defense or NCD — manufactured after October 2011, the outer limit of the class period — with a value of $150 each.
