Endo Medical Mesh Suit Booted Back To Calif. Court

Law360, New York (March 13, 2013, 6:28 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge sent a vaginal mesh injury lawsuit against an Endo Pharmaceuticals unit back to state court on Monday against the device maker's wishes, ruling a California-based doctor was not fraudulently joined to the suit as a defendant.

Plaintiff Audra Haston filed suit in California state court in December claiming that American Medical Systems Inc.'s MiniArc Sling System caused her to suffer pain, incontinence and other injuries. She sued AMS and the surgeon who implanted her with the device, Dr. Elvin Yeo.
