ITC Backs Duty-Free Status For Video Games, Movies

Law360, New York (March 13, 2013, 7:59 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission said Wednesday that extending worldwide duty-free treatment on certain tech products, including video games and prerecorded movies, would be a boon to Hollywood, domestic game publishers and consumers.

The findings were part of an ITC report on the effects that expanding the World Trade Organization-administered Information Technology Agreement would have on five technology-related product categories important to the U.S. economy.
