Gov. Brown Says Calif. Should Consider Fracking

Law360, Los Angeles (March 14, 2013, 10:33 PM EDT) -- California Gov. Jerry Brown said Wednesday that the state should consider hydraulic fracturing as a means of utilizing its vast fossil fuel deposits, but cautioned that potential implementation of the controversial natural gas extraction method should be carefully examined first.

At a San Francisco press conference announcing the launch of two new solar power plants in California, Brown signaled that fracking is a viable energy-production option that state officials should contemplate, while adding that he still has concerns about the drilling technology.
