Bank 'Screwed Up' Chilean Toll Road Bid, Investors Say

Law360, New York (March 14, 2013, 7:39 PM EDT) -- The Bank of Nova Scotia "screwed up royally" to the point of gross negligence when one of its employees entered the wrong number in a model that made a group of investors underbid on a Chilean toll road project, the investors' attorneys told a New York state judge Thursday.

The bank had entered the wrong date into part of a complex financial forecasting model used to assist the investors with their bid, an error that "metastasized" in the model and ultimately caused them to miss out...
