Rosetta Puts Up $768M For Comstock's Permian Assets

Law360, New York (March 15, 2013, 12:06 PM EDT) -- Houston energy company Rosetta Resources Inc. will pay $768 million for the oil-rich west Texas assets of Comstock Resources Inc. to boost its acreage in the Permian Basin, one of the most sought-after resource stores in North America, the companies said Friday.

In the buy, Rosetta will use $700 million in committed financing from unnamed lenders, and said it could tap into capital markets to cover the remaining cost. Pending environmental due diligence, the sale is expected to be finalized in mid-May.
