Ill. Official's Tax Charges Aren't State Law Issue: Judge

Law360, Chicago (March 15, 2013, 6:48 PM EDT) -- An Illinois county official's defense team again pushed their stance at his criminal tax trial Friday that the politican was not forbidden under state law to use funds withdrawn from his campaign accounts for gambling, prompting the judge to say state law violations are not at issue in the case.
