Jilted Ranbaxy Sues Barr, Teva Over Allegra Generic

Law360 (October 11, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Three of the world’s largest generic drug makers are set to duke it out in court over a deal gone sour for the unusually risky launch of a copycat version of Sanofi-Aventis's blockbuster allergy medicine Allegra.

India’s Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. and Agvar Chemicals, a distributor, said Monday they had filed a joint complaint against Barr Pharmaceuticals and Israel’s Teva Pharmaceuticals in New Jersey Superior Court.
