Registering Chinese Solar Panels Poses Fears For EU

Law360, New York (March 21, 2013, 1:05 PM EDT) -- Commission Regulation (EU) No. 182/2013 of March 1, 2013, made imports into the European Union of solar panels or key components originating in or consigned from the People’s Republic of China subject to compulsory registration from March 6, 2013. Article 14(5) of Council Regulation (EC) No 1225/2009 of Nov. 30 2009 allows the European Commission to require the registration of imports so that anti-dumping measures may subsequently be applied against those imports from such date.
