Hostess Rips Unions' Objections To Upcoming Asset Sales

Law360, Los Angeles (March 15, 2013, 6:17 PM EDT) -- Hostess Brands Inc. on Thursday fought back against the objections of its bakers union and government authorities to its planned asset sales, arguing that the deals are its only viable options in light of its Chapter 11 proceedings in New York.

Hostess said offers made to the International Union of Operating Engineers before the company decided to liquidate its assets were moot because it no longer had employees working for it.
