Alliance Bancorp Faces WARN Class Action

Law360 (December 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A former employee of Alliance Bancorp has hit the bankrupt mortgage lender with a class action for not providing workers with 60 days notice before closing its offices and filing for Chapter 7.

Katherine Jones, a former chief credit manager at the company's Brisbane, Calif., office filed an adversary complaint against Alliance on Thursday for alleged violations of the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.
