Court Tosses Federal Claim In JP Morgan Fraud Suit

Law360, New York (December 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- An investor who sued JP Morgan Invesments alleging fraud, negligent misrepresentation and breach of fiduciary duty will have to fight her battle in state court, after a federal district court threw out the federal claim in the case.

In a ruling handed down on Thursday, Judge Harold Baer Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York granted JP Morgan's motion to dismiss a federal securities fraud claim levied by investor Leslie Danzis, and bounced the remaining claims back to state court....
