Acting Commerce Secretary To Leave For U. Of Wis.' Top Job

Law360, New York (March 18, 2013, 6:57 PM EDT) -- Acting Secretary of Commerce Rebecca Blank said Monday that she will step down and become the chancellor of the University of Wisconsin at Madison in July, leaving President Barack Obama with another high-level vacancy to address at the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Blank took over at the Commerce Department in June, after Secretary John Bryson left the agency on the heels of an incident in which he suffered a seizure and was involved in a series of car accidents in Southern California.
