Microsoft Facing FCPA Probe Over Foreign Bribery

Law360, New York (March 19, 2013, 4:15 PM EDT) -- Federal regulators are investigating Microsoft Corp. for potential Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations after a company whistleblower said company partners had bribed Chinese government officials in return for software contracts, according to a Tuesday report.

Citing unnamed sources, The Wall Street Journal said that attorneys from the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission are investigating allegations of kickbacks made by a former Microsoft employee in China.
