Ill. Official Held Onto Campaign Cash, IRS Agent Says

Law360, Chicago (March 19, 2013, 6:14 PM EDT) -- An Internal Revenue Service agent testified Tuesday that an Illinois county official's personal and campaign finances suggest the politician, facing tax charges, held onto $30,000 in campaign funds between 2006 and 2008, and sometimes cashed checks drawn on campaign accounts the same day he hit the casino.
