Nortel Files Counterclaims Against Vonage

Law360, New York (December 17, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Nortel Networks Corp. has hit Vonage Holdings Corp. with counterclaims, accusing it of infringing 12 patents related to voice-over Internet protocol technology.

In court documents filed Friday with the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, Nortel said the infringed patents span the key technology areas needed for modern VoIP telephony, including devices that allow users to control telephone calls through a computer interface.
