Air Force Firewall Contracts Stifle Rivals, McAfee Says

Law360, New York (March 21, 2013, 2:02 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Air Force shouldn't have picked firewalls made by Palo Alto Networks Inc. for its nonclassified networks since its software isn't compatible with competitors', making it impossible to float rival bids, software maker McAfee Inc. alleges in a federal lawsuit filed Tuesday.

The Air Force's procurements for firewall products are stuck with Palo Alto Network's name-brand software because of an earlier procurement that used the products and left much of the Air Force with systems that can only integrate with Palo Alto Networks' software, according...
