LMRDA Protects Only Union-Related Speech, 4th Circ. Says

Law360, New York (March 25, 2013, 9:40 PM EDT) -- The Fourth Circuit ruled Thursday that a member of a Virginia labor union, who lodged an internal complaint against union leaders, was not shielded from retaliation by federal law because the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act only protects complaints related to union policies.
