Toy Cos. Say Medical Kit Lead Claims Are Doctored

Law360, New York (December 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Fisher-Price Inc. and Mattel Inc. are lashing out at a product liability lawsuit alleging that their toy medical kits contain poisonous lead paint, arguing that the complaint is a “fatally defective” attempt by the plaintiff to disguise her lack of knowledge of any specific wrongdoing.

In court documents filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the toy makers said plaintiff Keile Allen’s complaint fails to identify any specific acts of purported wrongdoing “in a web of undifferentiated aggregate claims.”...
