Citizens Bank Gets Workers' OT Action Decertified

Law360, Los Angeles (March 27, 2013, 6:29 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge on Wednesday decertified a Fair Labor Standards Act collective action by a group of Citizens Bank Financial Group Inc. employees alleging they didn't receive adequate overtime pay, saying their claims weren't similar enough to justify certification.

U.S. District Judge Mitchell Goldberg granted Citizens Bank's motion to decertify the collective action, finding the plaintiffs hadn't shown that the circumstances under which they were denied overtime compensation were comparable.
