Big M Creditors Balk At Lowenstein Sandler Fee Request

Law360, New York (March 28, 2013, 1:30 PM EDT) -- Creditors for bankrupt clothing retailer Big M Inc. said Wednesday they had “serious concerns” about the $400,000 legal fees racked up early in the Chapter 11 process by debtor counsel Lowenstein Sandler LLP, saying it was more than double what the New Jersey-based company had budgeted.

The official committee of unsecured creditors for the company, which operates the retailers Mandee, Annie Sez and Afaze, asked a New Jersey bankruptcy court to grant about $200,000 of the $400,000 that Lowenstein had requested for the period between Jan....
