Hewlett-Packard Settles Insider Trading Suits

Law360, New York (December 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Hewlett-Packard Co. announced Tuesday it had reached an agreement to settle derivative lawsuits filed by shareholders in the wake of last year's internal spying scandal that saw a flurry of suspicious trading by executives.

The California-based company said in a filing to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it entered into a tentative agreement with plaintiffs in the two consolidated actions in California and Delaware on Dec. 14.
