Pittsburgh Transit Agency's Use Of Funds Under Review

Law360, Philadelphia (March 28, 2013, 6:01 PM EDT) -- Pennsylvania Auditor General Eugene DePasquale said Thursday that auditors have initiated a performance audit of the Port Authority of Allegheny County, following a state senator's call to reform the body, which handles shipping and public transportation in the Pittsburgh area.

DePasquale's announcement that his office was inspecting the authority's use of public funds came on the same day that state Sen. Joe Scarnati, R-Jefferson, released a memo seeking co-sponsorship for his upcoming legislation.
