Injunction Imperils bcgi In Prepaid Wireless Case

Law360 (October 17, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has granted a potentially devastating injunction and slapped interest and other costs totaling $20.1 million on top of a $128 million judgment against Boston Communications Group in a patent infringement lawsuit brought by Freedom Wireless.

The U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts enjoined bcgi from offering prepaid wireless systems to any wireless carrier other than a licensee of Freedom Wireless, subject to a 90-day grace period.
